If you’re short on time and want to experience a zipline excursion near Panama City, you’ve got two high-flying adventures to choose from.

The Tree Trek Gamboa Adventure Park resides 35 km from Panama City within a lush tropical jungle bordering the Panama Canal and the Soberania National Park. The zipline is 1.4 km long and divided into 10 cables and 13 platforms, and the tour takes about 1.5 to two hours to complete. Exotic animals and plants are abundant, which your guide will be more than happy to talk more about. Watch out for toucans, howler monkeys, and more!

Gatun Lake Canopy Zipline offers a high-flying excursion on the Caribbean side of Panamá over Lake Gatun, which feeds into the Panama Canal. Learn about the canal before sliding down the five cables. The tour is four hours long, and 800 m of the cable hovers over the water.

Ziplining In Western Panamá


In Western Panamá, the town of Boquete in the Chiriqui province offers several zip line tours with stunning scenery and diverse terrain.

Located on the slopes of Volcan Baru, the Zipline Volcan Baru at Finca El Oasis is a total of 2.5 km long and divided into eight cables and 13 platforms. Here you can also find the Falcon line – 1.4 km long – a lay-down zipline with four platforms total. Zip liners will enjoy the views below of La Amistad International Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the slopes of the famous Baru Volcano.

Find another adrenaline-filled zip line adventure through the cloud forest at Boquete Tree Trek and Eco-Adventure Park. It’s a circuit of six suspension bridges of 4.5 km over the tops of trees. Suspension bridges range from 70 to 135 meters long and reach heights from 10 to 75 meters above the ground. In addition, you will travel six trails that measure between 185 km and 1.5 km, reaching heights ranging from 1,660 to 1,827 m.s.n.m. It’s a new adventure where you will enjoy impressive views of rivers, waterfalls and the imposing Baru Volcano. The tour is up to four hours long. While there, check out the park’s enormous variety of rare orchids and maybe spot the famous but elusive quetzal bird on a bird-watching tour.

Lastly, in the Tierras Altas District of Chiriqui, there’s Volcan Canopy Park, home to an incredible zip line with four platforms and three lines surrounded by Volcan Baru National Park.

Anton Valley

Ziplining In Central Panamá


The Anton Valley, a beautiful mountain town nestled in the crater of an extinct volcano in central Panamá, is home to Canopy Adventures.

The attraction features four canopy cables that hover above the 35-meter Chorro El Macho waterfall surrounded with abounding nature. There’s also a natural pool, which you can relax in after all the fun adventures.

You can choose from three zip line tour experiences – the canopy tour, focusing on the zip line; the full zipline experience, which features a 20-minute hike through the forest and up to the waterfall beforehand; and the canopy adventure zip line sampler, an introduction to the activity. The Bocas del Toro province has a short but fun zipline tour on Bastimento Island.

It's a tour featuring seven tree-based island zip lines, 13 elevated platforms, and a four-feature tree challenge consisting of a swaying suspended log bridge, a traversable canopy net, and a series of other rope features. Guests can take on a treetop challenge course, enjoy a thrilling vertical rappel, and trek through a hanging bridge.
