Beaches to Visit

If you come with your surfboard, don't miss Playa Venao, the best beach for surfing in the area. You will also have good waves in Playa Toro, Arenal and Guanico Abajo.

La playita, pedasí y tonosí

In all of them, you will find several offers of hotels on the beach, restaurants and, above all, a beautiful community of surfers to have a great time.

If you are looking for something more natural, at Los Buzos and Destiladero beach you will find good waves in the middle of pure nature. In Puerto Escondido you will find a special virgin beach to enjoy the calm seas.

Hop on a boat and visit Isla Iguana to see a nature reserve. Here you will have white sand, turquoise water and a forest behind you, where many species of seabirds nest. On the island you can do a short trek, snorkel or dive on a reef full of life and enjoy its two beaches: El Cirial and El Faro.

If you visit us between July and October, be sure to stop by Playa Achotines or Isla Cañas, to get up close and personal with the sea turtles. You will be able to accompany the mothers when they lay their eggs and take care of the newborns on their way to the sea.

In addition to enjoying a good day of surfing or protecting sea turtles, on the beaches around Pedasi and Tonosi you can kayak, paddle board, or go on diving and snorkeling tours. You can also visit the famous “Tuna Coast” and have a day of fishing, or whale watching.

Visit us All Year Long

Panamá has two very well-defined seasons: the dry season (from December to April) and the rainy season (from April to November).

During the dry season you will have sunny days with clear skies and lots of summer breezes.

Although in the rest of the country it rains a lot in the rainy season, Pedasi and Tonosi have a milder climate. In any case, rest assured that the rain will pass, and you will be able to enjoy the beaches most days. Furthermore, in the rainy months the forests usually have a very beautiful intense greens color, the waterfalls are at their maximum splendor and, in addition, you will be able to see a lot of fauna on your walks.

Enjoy the charm of the towns of Pedasi and Tonosi, their colorful houses, quiet vibes and their Panamanian and international cuisine. Visit its beaches, learn about the local fauna and enjoy all the activities available to you.
