What’s the Best Area to Stay on the Pacific Riviera?

Beaches

The Pacific Riviera coastline moves at different rhythms depending on the district. Chame attracts travelers who live between surfboards, kites, and oceanfront sunsets. San Carlos blends a laid‑back beach community with restaurants, cafés, shops, and accommodations just steps from the shore. Rio Hato is home to large resorts, beach clubs, golf courses, and all‑inclusive experiences—ideal for travelers looking to fully disconnect.

Mountains

El Valle de Anton is a cooler, refreshing alternative within the Pacific Riviera. Located inside the crater of an extinct volcano, this mountain community combines volcanic landscapes, hiking trails, and a mild climate with boutique hotels, wellness experiences, and outdoor activities.
