1. La Amistad International Park (PILA)

From Tierras Altas, enter the trails of this enormous, protected area where you will see a large number of birds. In the park, you’ll find the largest number of endangered species in Panamá along with 56 endemic species. Traverse the paths and try to see the bare-necked bighead, the harpy eagle or the stunning quetzal.

2. Isla Pajaros

In the province of Bocas del Toro, you can see more than 700 species of birds. But there is an incredible island: in fact, the only place in Panamá that the red-billed whitetail calls home. Isla Pajaros is a large rock formation full of sea birds that fly over the rocks looking for their nests at sunset.

3. Summit Observation Tower
