Playa Venao
Perfect waves, community, and wellness around every corner.
On the Pacific coast of the Azuero peninsula, Playa Venao has become a haven for surfers, digital nomads, and lovers of wellness. Here, everything revolves around the ocean, connecting with nature, and a community that lives in harmony with the surroundings.
Visit this charming beach refuge and spend a few days restoring your body and soul.
World-class Surfing
With reliably perfect waves and warm water, both beginners and experts will enjoy Venao, one of the most famous destinations for surfing in Panamá. The surf here has hosted intentional competitions, and it is ideal for learning or perfecting your tricks.
Along the beach, you’ll find different schools, specialized shops, and everything you need to have an unforgettable experience on the board, whether you’re an expert or you’re seeking your first surfing experience.
Meaningful Ecotourism
At Playa Venao, you’ll find hotels and restaurants that apply eco-friendly principles such as permaculture and sustainable experiences. Enjoy farm-to-table cuisine, hike through reforested areas, and learn how this destination works to protect its natural surroundings.
Plus, you can discover a sea turtle sanctuary and participate in the release of hatchlings from October to December. Don’t miss out on this experience and the chance to be part of the change.
Adventure and More
If you’re seeking a different type of experience, from Venao, you can go fishing on the renowned “tuna coast,” snorkel, or even whale-watch during whale season (July to October).
Digital nomads who came to Venao and never left made a community here. Meet people from around the world who found this spot to connect with what moves them most, explore local boutiques, and don’t miss out on the cultural agenda.
Spend the day restoring your energy, and then enjoy the nightlife on the beach. In recent years, the EDM parties in Venao have become more and more famous. Sing and dance by the fire, on the beach, under the stars until sunrise.
